CIA offer a number of our professional photography programs via our unique method of correspondence and online mentoring. The distance programs are ideal for students unable to attend classroom based teaching and can be studied in your own time and in your own environment. |
Students can undertake 4 of the professional units and an adapted commercial unit for those wanting to further their photography careers in photo journalism, weddings, family and children’s portraiture, sports and editorial photography.
Each unit consists of 8 individual lesson and assignment manuals, fully illustrated in a step by step easy to read manual. Each manual forms a comprehensive printed resource guide that you can refer back to at anytime. Lessons are delivered in a sequence to ensure your comprehension of the material and continued improvement with your photography.
Each lesson centres on practical explanations and assignments and students are expected to devote a minimum of 6hrs of practical shooting time for each lesson.
During your program you are assigned your professional tutor for consultation, feedback and assessment. Your tutor is available online or by phone (if in Australia). At the completion of each lesson, your assignment images are individually assessed and you receive your critique and progress report.
This is just like face to face training, without attending scheduled classes.
The courses are excellent for new to intermediate photographers who are looking for a professional based program that may continue toward becoming a professional photographer.
