Introduction
Course 4 program is the forth in the sequence of programs offered by the institute for online delivery.
Students undertaking this Course will have successfully completed the minimum requirement of Course 3 or be able to demonstrate an adequate level of previous training to cope with the content of this Course.
Course 4 is an intermediate to advanced photographic study exploring specific commercial genres.
In this course students are challenged through a number of briefs in the genres of fashion, weddings, portraiture, photojournalism, editorial and landscape and sports photography. Participants will choose a major project at the beginning of the course and be mentored through their project building to an industry standard and genre specific portfolio. This course requires the participant to encapsulate all the successful outcomes of the previous courses, develop skills and techniques that communicate their creative and technical maturity. At the successful completion of this course participants should be able to begin recruiting commercial photographic assignments.
This course is essential for participants wishing to enter the professional photography community. Its extended study period and mentoring philosophy helps ensure the participant makes a successful transition from student to practising professional.

Specialist Facilities and Equipment
Students receive their login for the online LMS www.urcreativeonline.com where they can upload their profiles, connect and share work with all members of the student community and retrieve their projects and communicate with their mentor. Participants join forums and discussion groups and are required to contribute material to the student community.
Participants Equipment Requirements
Participants will be expected to have the required equipment to satisfactorily undertake the rigor of their projects. Specific requirements are discussed prior to commencement with each participant.
Students must have access to the internet and appropriate image editing software to size their assignment work for upload. CIA recommends either Nikon or Canon systems but any DSLR camera capable of fulfilling the program requirements can be used.
Note: If you do not already have these you should consider their purchase. CIA staff is more than happy to assist with camera and accessories purchase through a favourable relationship with Sun Studios Australia.
