Course 1 - Introduction to DSLR photography
Introduction to DSLR photography is the perfect program for students new to DSLR photography. Over 5 intensive evening classes this course focuses on the functionality and performance abilities of your DSLR camera. Each lesson is an in-depth discovery of the camera, menus, functions, ISO, aperture and shutter speed and light metering techniques. At the completion of this course each student begins using their camera in manual mode to start creating images rather than recording images. An excellent pre requisite to advanced programs this course is supported by comprehensive reference material and each student has access to our online learning portal to join chats, forums, up-coming events and share their images with students in Australia and around the world.
Course 2 - Composition and Creative Imaging
Course 2 is an extension of the theory, techniques and understanding mastered in Course 1.
Course 2 provides participants with the opportunity to undertake further practical shooting classes and unpacks the complexities of composition the use of reflectors and shooting at dusk and night. It also imparts an advanced understanding of light quality and direction and the practical considerations of reflectors under differing light conditions. In addition, the participant will begin to combine composition and design principles to their studies.
This Course is ideal for students who have completed Course 1 in the beginner program or for students who have previous introductory training and looking to advance their photographic knowledge and skills.
The course concludes with a review and an evening professional image critique.
Course 2 is a pre requisite requirement for the Intermediate level programs.
Course 3 – On and Off Camera Flash
Course 3 is a dedicated course in the use of on and off camera flash techniques. This course guides the student through TTL and Manual flash modes and further explains the use of high speed sync, bouncing flash, using flash as a fill light, dragging the shutter techniques and rear curtain sync applications.
This course also enables students to balance their flash with ambient light and to use flash as both a primary and secondary light source.
Course 3 is a pre requisite requirement for the Intermediate level programs. |
